Probably could have called this "sea of backs" just as easily - but that just occurred to me.
Some days the strawberry pickers are even more jammed in than this - but this gives a good isolated view.
No matter how hot it seems - most pickers where a minimum of sweatshirt weight clothing. Placing these textured material looking colors was not where I took liberties.
The color coordinated clothing, however, represents the likeness of the pickers from a distance - remarkably bent - looking much like a herd - and diligently working for hours in this uncomfortable position.
Despite witnessing the hard lifestyle, it is also a witness to something beautiful.
