balance and light at the end of the tunnel
Crazy Light - digital painting / art prints - Dan Beck 2004
I remember the evening - to some extent - because the light was so crazy - one of those hole in the sky things - where the color intensity didn’t look real.
The clouds were amazing, but mostly there was soil. Like yesterday’s featured digital painting, this one has a very odd balance to it too. But I know I am not the only person who feels like it works.
Though the piece did not grab me strongly at first, I have continued to find it pleasing. On top of which it gets better with increased size.
As I look at it today, I think part of its appeal is that light at the end of the tunnel thing: there is brilliance at the end of the darkness.

Though they say the light could from a head-on train - this gives the term a very strange twist
